The step that has been recognized as prime is the erection of Tehatta Sailendra Smriti Sangha (a library) in 1946. Gradually the other steps – establishment of a hospital for health consciousness, Post office for small savings and communication, games and sports for health education, institution like. Tehatta free Primary School and Tehatta High School for mass education, have glorified the area. The latest addition to the blaze of aspiration for higher education is the “Tehatta Sadananda Mahavidyalaya”.
